When did you start racing? When I was 3 and my dad got
me 1978 Italjet.
Tell us about your mechanic: His name is Brent Presnell, he is 20 and been with us almost 2 years. He's awesome, he is more than just my mechanic, he's my friend, too. He has become a great asset to our program. What is Shannon like and how has he helped? Shannon is cool. He has helped me in all aspects of riding/racing. My mom credits him with my riding style. What is a typical day for you? Wake up, school work, train, ride, have fun at night. What do you do to get hyped and ready for your next moto? I think about the moto and get myself mad. Do you do any other crossover sports? Snowboarding, but I suck. If you had to pick any other sport to be pro at, what would you pick? BMXer
Favorite joke: Pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel attached to his belt. The bar tender asked, "What's that steering wheel for?" Pirate says, " Arrrrr, it drives me nuts." What are your goals for 2005? To win a title Loretta's Give us a rundown of your most accomplished goals of the past few years: 2 2nds at LL last year, 2 titles at Whitney, and one title at GNC.

From the Parents What is Trey's strongest trait? Stubborn Describe his personality: Trey is easy going most of the time. Sometimes he has a bad temper. He is usually considerate of others and not arrogant at all. What one thing have you tried to teach him: First, love God. Second, never quit. Third, have a humble spirit; be a good winner and a good loser. How has the sport of motocross help bring you family closer? When Roy was alive we spent so much time as a family. Now that he is gone, we still have many happy memories. Motocross families have really been there for us. What do you hope the sport brings to him? I hope he gets to make a good living as a pro. Tell us about your most memorable road trip: The trip from hell to Las Vegas last year. I lost my purse, had a flat tire, no mechanic, ran out of diesel, and Aaron had a bad bicycle wreck along with Trey having a bad crash. Do you have any advice for other parents who plan to take part in the sport the way that you have? NOTHING really matters until the 12-13 Supermini classes and above classes, so chill out and have some fun. Tell your family members that you love them. |
