Maier Wins First Round of Canada Pro Nationals

The opening round of the 2008 Monster Energy Canadian Nationals was this past weekend in St Julie, PQ and Monster Energy/Thor/Leading Edge Kawasaki rider Teddy Maier grabbed his first ever win in the MX2 class. Maier started midpack in the first go around and moved to the front quickly to grab the win. His third place in the second moto was good for the overall.

Trey Canard 2008 East Coast Lites Champion

Trey Canard started his rookie SX season this year. The first round in Atlanta was amazing as he won his first SX while leading every lap. The next two rounds were also won. Everyone remembers Daytona and the rainfest of a race that was. Trey charged through the soupy mud and gained 25 more points. The next round was a 4th. The Dallas main came around and we thought that was it. Trey got tangled in the first corner and was DEAD last. He got up, bike still running, and worked his way up through the pack into 4th place. Bad luck at Detroit gave him a 10th and only a 3 point lead on Ryan Villopoto. That meant St. Louis was winner take all. After a true battle between the two, Trey pulled away from the pack and won his 4th SX of his rookie year, claiming the East Coast Lites Championship! (Photo Credit GuyB-VitalMX)

The first 3 rounds of the East Coast series have been completed. Trey Canard has taken the win at Alanta, Indy, and Daytona. All 3 were great races, but Daytona was the toughest race I have ever seen. The rain didn't stop the entire race and Trey just held on and stayed up. (Photo Credit GuyB-VitalMX)

Anaheim 1-Round one West Coast
"On Saturday night, Dungey put another smile on Rockstar Makita Suzuki boss Roger DeCoster’s face with his no-nonsense win in Anaheim Stadium, out-lasting the aforementioned J-Law on a track that was not nearly as muddy as it might have been if placed 20 miles away in any direction."

"There had to be some nervous people in the Hahn household when brothers Will and Tommy were running 4th and 5th in the Lites loc. Y’see, only the top four make it which meant that it was possible that: A.) One Hahn misses the main. B.) One Hahn tries to take out the other and they both fall, and both Hahns miss the main. C.) They both make it in.Luckily, option C happened and they went onto get 6th (Tommy) and 10th (Will)."
